VIEWspotlight March 2009
“At first sight, each photo on its own, but also all photos taken together as a series, seem like noble porn stills from the 80s. As settings, I like quirky hotel rooms, which account for a certain aesthetics of decay. Opposed to that, there is a smooth and clean photographic style. The choice of unconventional picture fragments, direction of view, play of light and poses boosts the impression of the depicted artificiality. Admittedly, the postures of the models clearly imitate pornographic examples, but go far beyond that through the applied devices.”
